This article is not meant to offend anyone But Defend Gods Word which Collides and Conflicts with the way we see ourselves (myself included at one time) in ignorance before being corrected by a humble servant of God who knew better than I did in this area and I gladly received that Godly correction in Love..
(I dont want to be wrong in any area of Christianity) when I am made aware of it..then I am responsible and accountable for my actions.
We are only responsible for what we know and sometimes we are taught wrongly in bible school or church by leaders who are in error in this area and are not aware of what we are what we should be in so so many areas we all need correction at times ..my self included
A man of God in Chennai India who I know personally when I met told me ..
He was a doctor of theology and had every qualification in Christianity you could have The Right Reverend Doctor Apostle/ Pastor on his business cards everything except an evangelist which he now is and every degree possible...Then his wife died suddenly in his arms on a train after crying unto God to see her was finally taken to Heaven and met The Lord who shocked him and said to him 2 things
YOUR TITLES MEAN NOTHING TO ME and then
"YOUR THEOLOGY IS ALL WRONG"
He was Genuine but WRONG until this ENCOUNTER WITH ALMIGHTY GOD.
This man is now a very humble servant of God who struggles even being called Pastor now would rather just see himself as a brother in Christ which we all are..
And all you are brethren....Mat_23:8 But be not ye called Rabbi (Teacher) for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.
where does it say put titles of qualification next to your name in ministry.by your fruits you shall know them and pride is one fruit to avoid at all costs.......
HE NOW JOKINGLY SAYS I AM STILL A PHD brother ..PRAYER HEALING DELIVERANCE...WHICH HE IS VERY WELL QUALIFIED IN NOW AS TAUGHT BY THE LORD.
The WORD OF GOD says in Galatians 6 v 3 "If any man think himself to be something when he is nothing he deceiveth himself" ..
.If we go along believing we are the equivalent of JESUS we are sincerely mistaken..
FOR HE IS THE APOSTLE
THE PROPHET
THE EVANGELIST
THE PASTOR/TEACHER IS THE CORRECT BIBLICAL ORDER ...For some unknown reason we seem to elevate the pastor before the evangelist when we mention 5 fold ministry...very strange this
THIS IS WHERE THE COMPETITION IN THE MINISTRY HAS COME FROM....WHO CAN BE THE BEST ..
The Bible says
Php_2:3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
... We are nothing in ourselves brethren HE IS OUR EVERYTHING IS THE TRUTH OF GODS WORD....
Apostle is used by so many in Africa which think they are hot shots have big houses and con people out of money..Usually if they call them self an apostle they can be 1 of 3 things or all of 3 things
First type of apostle in ignorance next to his or her name they unknowingly and innocently could be deceived by those who have taught them at bible school and not aware of this deception according to Gods Word and are true servants of God...these are not dangerous just deceived and will heed Godly correction when it comes
Oh you have started a church you are an Apostle...
If you are a True apostle you will be a direct manifestation of JESUS like the apostles of old and you will be so broken you can not call yourself any thing other than a love slave of JESUS..a chaste virgin unto God in the Spirit...
Smith Wigglesworth was an apostle..Kathryn Kuhlman was an apostle..they were dead to themselves JESUS WAS MANIFEST IN THEM .NAD DOING THE MIRACLES ..No question about this....
Second type is dangerous they like to elevate them self or impress others by having titles to their name..This is PRIDE
Third type is VERY DANGEROUS they could be false apostles who are mentioned in GODS WORD
2 Cor_11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
Revelation_2:2 I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: we all know what happens to liars in Revelation for those who dont let me remind you
Rev_21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and ALL LIARS , shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death
No where in the bible does it mention the title Apostle Peter but Peter who is called to be an apostle
